Certificate in Preparation for IELTS

Improve Your IELTS Score

This programme is for people (International Students and Permanent Residents) who must obtain an IELTS score of of 5.5 for Polytechnic and Private Training Establishments or 6.5 for University. The Certificate in Preparation for IELTS is a fulltime intensive course of 25 class contact hours a week. Students are encouraged to study at least 1 to 2 hours every evening. International students may start the course on any Monday throughout the year except on Public Holidays. We recommend that international students study for a minimum of 6 weeks.

 International $350 per week (1-6 weeks) $330 per week (13+ weeks)
$200 Administration fee
 Course Related Costs are extra

Papers

IELTS covers the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Grammar and vocabulary are integrated into the course while covering the four skills. Students are continually examined by using example IELTS tests.

Availability of subjects listed may vary.

Entry Requirements

  • Open to anyone aged 18 years and over
  • Evidence of a current 4.5 IELTS score

Where an IELTS score is not supplied, final placement will be subject to internal assessment. We reserve the right to place you at a level most suited to your needs.

Further Study

Achieving a higher IELTS score will increase acceptance for graduate or post-graduate study at University.
