National Certificate Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5)

Do you love interacting with children?

Pursue that passion as your career!  With strong industry links and a clear focus on equipping you with relevant skills for the workplace, Vision College offers you a unique opportunity to study Early Childhood Education in a friendly, nurturing environment.

Early childhood teachers are in demand

There is a huge shortage of Early Childhood teachers in New Zealand. Study full-time on campus and gain a Level 5 National Certificate in only one year. If you can’t get into a teaching degree programme directly, this course is for you and is your first step to becoming a qualified professional teacher.

You will develop a strong foundational grounding in essential Early Childhood knowledge.  Plus throughout the year you will complete 210 hours of placement time in early childhood centres – giving you real hands-on experience in the workplace. Vision College offers small classes (up to 20 students), which creates a nicer learning environment, with more focused teacher time.
