Students must complete six of these papers from the New Zealand Diploma in Business programme.

- minimum of 14 numeracy credits at level 1 or above in Mathematics on the National Qualifications Framework; and
- 50 credits at level 2 or above with at least 12 credits in each of three subjects including a minimum of 8 literacy credits at level 2 or above in English; 4 credits must be in reading and 4 credits must be in writing.

Students for whom English is a second language must also have an IELTS score of 5.5 (academic) with no individual band lower than 5.0, or equivalent. If the student has completed a qualification in English at New Zealand Diploma level or above, the IELTS requirement may be waived.
Provisional Entry may be granted to applicants who do not meet the criteria above, but present evidence of ability to succeed and are able to show they are well prepared to study the programme.
