Certificate in Business Applications

First steps towards working in business

Would you like to work in a business as a receptionist, personal assistant or administrator? Or are you aiming to be a manager one day, but know you need to strengthen your computer and administration skills first?

The Certificate in Business Applications is a brilliant 22 week programme that will equip you with strong administration skills in preparation for the business and office world. Employers will know that you’ve got what it takes because this course has been designed to give you not one but three certificates. As well as the Certificate in Business Applications graduates receive the National Certificate in Computing (Level 3) and the National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3).  So within 6 months you can have all three of these qualifications on your CV!

The course covers three areas - computing, communication and accounting. It will prepare you with the knowledge and skills required for administration jobs in the real business world. Most of the work is done with Microsoft Office tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, and simple databases.  The course also covers the popular MYOB accounting software
