Admin & Computing - Youth Guarantee
Vision College is proud to be selected for the Youth Guarantee scheme and has 30 places in Hamilton for 2010. If you’re 16 or 17 years old and have left school, this could be for you. Study in our Administration and Computing (Level 3) course for FREE.
Study Administration and Computing (Level 3)
This full-times course combines the National Certificate in Computing (Level 3) with the National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3), as well as preparation for employment & further study. The course will equip you with a strong understanding of computers and administration skills.

The course also includes life-changing personal development topics such as life planning, vision and goal setting, personal leadership, confidence and motivation, study skills, memory techniques, personal presentation, communication skills, problem solving and teamwork, time and stress management, job hunting, interview skills and customer service.
You can expect to uncover your areas of passion and interest and use these areas of self-awareness to map out life and career goals for your future.
When you have completed the course you will have the potential to apply to study the Level 6 Diploma in WWW Page Programming and Design with Vision College, or a number of other computing or business courses available in Hamilton. Or you could pursue employment in an office administration role.
Who is eligible for Youth Guarantee?
- Students must be NZ Citizens or Permanent Residents
- Students must be 16-17 years old, and not have achieved NCEA Level 2.
- Students must not turn 18 within three months of starting studying under the Youth Guarantee
- Students must have either completed year 11, or have withdrawn from year 11 in the year prior to entering a Youth Guarantee programme. (Students cannot enter Youth Guarantee part-way through year 11).
- Students can't have studied at Tertiary Institution before (STAR, GATEWAY and Youth Training courses not included)
- Students must be prepared to study full-time for 1 year.
